Welcome to Kuruma Farm...

Our cottages are nestled amongst the vineyards in the beautiful Brandwacht Valley, only seven kilometres outside of the town of Worcester and just more than an hour away from Cape Town

Celeste, proprietor and host, with her team, will strive to make sure your stay is comfortable and seamless. They will be looking after all your accommodation needs. We offer charming and stylish accommodation which is ideal for a relaxed family weekend getaway or a business person, who would like to wake up in the countryside, yet is only ten minutes away from an appointment in Worcester.

Our cottages are nestled amongst the vineyards in the beautiful Brandwacht Valley at the foot of the majestic Brandwacht Mountains. Kuruma is only seven kilometres outside of the town of Worcester and 1 hour and 15 minutes’ drive away from Cape Town. It is the ideal base to explore the Breede River Valley and it is at the beginning of Route 62.

Join us for a Permaculture course

pet-friendly

Children of all ages are welcome!

At KURUMA we host 2  introductory courses a year. Kobus covers the Design Priciples of Permaculture including:

 

Zoning and Sectors; Compost Making and Soil Life; Sheet Mulching; Vermiculture; Chicken Tractors; Water Strategies and Irrigation including Swales; Planting different beds/areas; Nursery Work including Sowing, Transplanting, Soil Mixtures and propagating with cuttings;  Seed Saving and Storage; Pasture and Orchard management.

We understand that you want to enjoy your vacation with your well-behaved pet, so that’s why you are welcome to bring them along when you stay with us! Please inquire about our pet-friendly options and rules when you make your booking with us.

Please note: Dogs may sleep inside but NOT in the BEDROOMS and NOT on the FURNITURE. Please bring own pet beds and bowls. Also note that there are Alpacas, lots of geese, ducks, chickens and other larger animals therefore dogs may NOT ROAM and must always be on leash. No dogs in estrus are allowed.

Kids are very welcome at Kuruma! In spring and early summer there are lots of goslings, ducklings and baby chickens. Children are welcome to  to help feed the animals around 5pm and collect the eggs.
 
We have canoes which can be rented (R100p/day) but under strict supervision of parents.
